Finding Good in a World of Evil

Good and evil, each manifesting right before our eyes. It’s everywhere. Evil is hardly using any effort to disguise itself anymore. Content to pull the wool over the eyes of those still asleep. Brazenly carrying out deceitful and disgusting plans to destroy those who are awake. Finding it hard to believe what is right before their eyes. Good is called evil at every turn. Cancel culture and slander, division and persecution, and sometimes detention and arrest used to eliminate the voices in opposition to evil agendas. No discussion about facts, instead emotional responses like spoiled children not getting their way, or the narcissist who turns everything said to them back on the accuser.

The good news is many not just in this country but across the globe are waking up to the evil being forced on them. Not just waking up but starting to take action. People are finding creative ways to protest and push back. Not with violence and destruction like evil does, but by banning together. Good is finding a way to express itself and be heard. Seeking out lawful ways to stop what’s happening to individual rights. Standing up to those in power in open forums and reminding them that they are responsible to the majority whether they like it or not.

The easiest way to tell evil from good is simple. Evil wants power and riches to subjugate and control others for personnel gain. Good wants enough power to makes sure everyone is free. Free to make your own choices without affecting another persons freedom. Free to live your life, free to choose your life. Free to think and to be. Free to pray.

Satan is evil. He has been around for thousands of years. He is smart and patient. He loves to be dismissed by the intellectual, turned into a cute cartoon by the naive. He has many names and many followers. His followers are brainwashed and bought with power, lust, dilutions of grandeur, and a hunger for control. John 8:44  “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is the father of lies.” Followers are deceived simply because they think Satan wants them as his followers. He wants them and us dead. He hates us all. He thinks we are so inferior to him that we make him sick. He hates us because God loves us. Because God created us in his image, even the ones that follow the evil. God loves us all.

God gave us free will. He loves us so much that he lets us choose Him or reject Him. He desires a relationship with each of His children and He loves each one. Imagine the pain when a parent loses a child to death. We can’t imagine the pain and heartache God goes through each time one is lost. He loves with a depth we cannot comprehend. We get to experience His love through Jesus. Jesus’s blood spilled for our sin. His death for our death. His resurrection showing us the love of God. The way to live with God forever because of his gift and sacrifice for us. A chance to love God back. God loves freedom because He gave us free will. Free will like God has. In His image. The most important part of this is there is no love without freewill. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me.” Jesus died for us. His choice to let it happen. His free will.
